Hi, tried at least 5 3.5" 1.44 drives and 5 cables, when i try to access "a:" the drive reads endlessly...without showing nothing. I must expell the floppy drive while the drive it' reading...
In the bios THE DRIVE type IS SELECTED CORRECLTY!, but only an old 5.25 1.2 MB drive appears to work with this system. i,ve also tried several bios revisions...same problem.
Even with a VLB controller the floppy drives presents the same problems: attempts to read endlessly.
sometimes launching "format a:" the system fails , trying to format 360 kb (the unit it's correctly setted 1.44 Mb), Saying also "first sector not found"...

thanks for the help

What happens if you try to override the (unknown) DOS drive parameter table contents using drivparm/driver.sys?
