How does the CD actually look?

Here are pics of mine

Thank you. Can you upload a CD image of it to Vogonsdrivers? I am surprised nobody helped the guy over when he was asking for a CD image of it. It's just a CD with Windows updates after all.

I would like to, but I can't. I don't have a Vogonsdrivers account.

Best I can do right now is upload the ISO to my Dropbox account, then someone else with a Vogonsdrivers account can download the ISO and upload it there.

EDIT: Upload done, the ISO is inside a zip file. Here's the link:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/lzdxagq4ag0r6yc/SUCD.ZIP?dl=0

There you go everyone, have at it! 😏

Ooohh, the pain......

I'm sure someone will want it.

I've recently found my copy of the Dutch security CD, might upload it again there as the old links are probably gone by now.

While we are at it I saw this on eBay, but it's for Windows 95.

Not really an issue, but the start menu gets cleared and Brazil keyboard installed 😀

Of course... sadly I wasn't on Vogons already back then 🙁

Weird. I have used it multiple times and it doesn't do anything strange to the English version of 98SE

After doing a bit of searching, I have come up with a few more places to download the Feb 2004 CD from.

English and Russian available here:
http://old-dos.ru/index.php?page=files&mode=f … do=show&id=5975

A random pack of 95-Vista updates including the Feb 2004 update CD:
https://archive.org/details/WULOS

January 2006 - July 2016 Update DVD ISOs directly from Mirosoft:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/9130 … iles-from-the-m

Should I download the 2006 - 2016 ISOs and then upload them to vogonsdrivers and/or archive.org before MS decides to get rid of them?

Great research!

Personally I would highly appreciate that!
No idea though whether this is desirable (the chief vogons will know) and legal (the license on the archive.org page said "public domain", and if MS released the updates as PD, it won't be a problem).

This only supports XP and newer. Bummer. It would have been nice to get an official complete rollup disc for Win9x and Win2K. Well, at least XP is covered.

Some of them at least support Windows 2000.

And from the sounds of it, the images are only for the updates released each month?

I find it amusing that this forum happily trades these, while links to isos of them on archive.org were deleted from the PCem forum due to staff being anal about copyright infringement.

The February 2004 update CD was free from Microsoft back in the day. They even paid to ship it to you.

Microsoft is not going to care one bit if the other update ISOs are distributed. It is a free download directly from Microsoft.

How can it be "copyright infringement" if it is given away for free by the company that produced it? Just as long as the person that is providing it is not selling it there shouldn't be a problem.
