I have ASUS P2V [slot 1] board and when im trying to run cpuz or hwinfo it freezes the system [on SPD], however it works in safe mode. I was trying to reinstall drivers, system[winxp], swap memory and other hardware but nothing helps, i need cpuz for hwbot validation please help.

i fixed this by editing cpuz settings, hwinfo still have the same problem
i fixed both, SMbus detection caused problem

If you send me the HWiNFO Debug File of the freeze, I can fix HWiNFO to skip the problematic part so that no disabling will be needed.

Hello, i have also ASUS P2V with the same issue .Looks it's freezs when it's try to read info about memory (SPD) . MB some hardwae modification should help?)
