I would like to make backup images for my retro PC, but none of the current offerings I've tried support such old hardware.

I would like the software to boot from a floppy or CD/DVD, and use USB 2.0 drives for saving and restoring images.

Thanks in advance.

Acronis True Image can do that for you, but you'll have to search for an older version.

I use version 8.0 from a bootable CD to back up and restore my DOS and Win98 drives to an external hard disk connected to a USB 2.0 card. Never had any problems.

Not seeing version 8 online, Acronis Support couldn't help either.

I found that Active@ Disk Image has a free floppy version with USB support and it's working for me.

Thanks for your responses, guys. 😀
