Hello,
i had some old save collection, where i wasn't sure for which games these save are, but when i opened save file, i usually was able to find some magic strings and with these i was able to find and verify for which games they are,
only saves for 1 pc game left, where i have not clue.
Im not Hex editor guy, so maybe someone would be able to with some Hex magic find some strings which wil game to find for which game saves are.
When i open this old with some text editor i only need these strange characters, execept classical nulls etc:

I have not idea what it mean, it it some sort of compression, or it point to some Japanese (at his time i didnt played much such games) and or russian games, anything could be usefull.
So far i know only this:
- saves have 700 - 1017 kb size, to its probably not for some very old floppy game or etc..
- im sure that safe are for same PC game
- save files filename is in game#.SAV format a game has multiple of them
- files are from 2000/4 so game has to be from 2000 or older, in theory filedate could be much misleading but i doubt it
- back in this age, i played games which are 92 or newer and because of filesize, newer is more probable.
- i found only one string, at the start of one file and its name of character or file save, so game has to have one of this option
This is digital archaeology quest..
