Hi all!
I read all this thread and tried to run s.wars following teecee's instructions but always the same error occurred: I got to a screen with 'login' and 'quit' options, but a little mouse movement is enough to make it crash (and no ALT+TAB possibility).
I think it's a memory error.
Can someone help me, please?

My specs:
P4 1,6 GHz
512 ram
WinXP SP2

I haven't seen teecee's instructions on SWARS. But I'll tell you how I got mine working under Windows XP SP2.

Install VDMSound and right-click SWARS install.bat from CD-ROM. Do full installation. Once fully installed just right-click C:\SWARS\Plat.bat and load it with VDMSound.

I also tested installing SWARS via DOSBox which also works.

Am now bored with single-player games and need a dose of multiplayer action over the internet.

I didnt follow your instructions in full but all i did was edit the play.bat file
it did read

"@main /w /g"
changed it to read

"@setsound
@main /w /g"

and it worked fine

Hey Dudes, I'm just figuring out how to make it run under XP MCE ..
Got FullScreen, but mouse freezes, Allright using DosBox, but very very slow ..
So I wanna play it windowed, and have mouse support

I'm french so I can't really read the whole topic, please help :]
