Hey all,
I have a number of old devices such as my Amiga A1200, several Win95 and Win98 machines. I'd quite like to recreate browsing the internet from back in the day on them.
Now the way back machine has an archive of old web sites but these can't be displayed in an old browser. I tried using a Web Rendering Proxy but it's not a great experience.
What I'm thinking is making a local copy on my own network of old websites that I can browse like they were originally.
I know it's a weird project. But does anyone have an advice on how to achieve this?
Ideally it would be a way of making a local copy of websites in bulk from wayback machine, then hosting them on a local web server. Should be simple... In theory
Thanks everyone 😀
