While their SBPro compatibility isn't quite as good as on Yamaha or ESS cards, it's still fairly decent. And the WSS mode on OPTi cards with an Analog Devices chip is pretty much perfect. It worked with 99% of WSS games that I threw at it (including early Sierra titles like Space Quest V) always delivering crystal clear sound.

Just hard work to get them going. Then again we generally put them in at the more budget end of the spectrum and used PCChips or no-name motherboards - maybe that was why they were so troublesome.

Once working yeah no complaints 😀
