Why not invest your life savings into Earth 2? Surely Google maps is the next big thing!

My builds!
The FireStarter 2.0 - The wooden K5
The Underdog - The budget K6
The Voodoo powerhouse - The power-hungry K7
The troll PC - The Socket 423 Pentium 4

Good news everyone! https://www.coindesk.com/sichuan-becomes-late … -miner-shutdown

Also Chia is steadily decreasing in profitability.

Earth is so lame and old. Invest in virtual Mars!

The only thing that made it particularly profitable to mine in China was by performing most of the mining concentrated near cheap energy sources, such as coal and hydro plants.

Scattered mining can be done anywhere in the world by individuals, particularly by people who live in sunny regions and can afford solar panels. Compared to centralized coal-powered crypto-mining, I guess that would be much preferable, both for the environment and in terms of decentralization. 🙂

Bitcoin mining farms will probably migrate to regions close to China. Like Kazakhstan, which still has good electrical infrastructure from Soviet Union era and cheap prices. Or perhaps Mongolia.

Do you remember the surge of average price for 4TB HDD WD40PURZ in the last year ? Did it be caused by some "proof-of-space" crypto too ?
