Yes, this dirt is really ugly. Looks like smoke but doesnt smell. Many small traces destroyed under the battery. Scratches mainly on the bottom side. This isnt worth the effort of cleaning and testing...

Thank you very much. I will try one of them. Yes, I know some other chip is missing. Two 8259 and the keyboard controller. What do you think, will it work with a keyboard controller from an other 286 motherboard?

This what you are missing:

BIOS firmware in high and low (odd and even) Phoenix firmware version will work.
pair of 8259 IC interrupt controllers. NEC is cooler and reliable.
and finally keyboard controller. Older one is preferred, which is little tricky.

You can also try keyboard controllers from a 386/486, most are compatible but few are not. It also depends on the main BIOS you are using. You need to try, you cannot damage anything.

The BIOS ID string is 2A5UMB01-00

I searched thru archive.org and found one reference to the board at Quantex website but Biostar and Bioteq do no list it at all (The 15xxTIC was listed but not the 15xxPCT), not even jumper settings.
When searching for the BIOS found references but no bios file leading me to believe it was on a non flashable EPROM instead of an EEPROM - OR - they never did a bios update.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am learning still. I have ended up with one of these boards with the fake cache on it. I plan to remove the fake cache and put some real stuff on it along with the jumpers to configure it. If I do this can I then put the bios on the unit from the links you have posted to make it work properly ?

No not that I know of, that BIOS was written specific for that FAKE cache board model and version so it appears to have cache. You need the BIOS off one that has working cache. Cannot find the exact topic but there is a good discussion about adding cache and what bios to use where members tried different BIOS releases and which ones worked.

I'm looking for a BIOS for a newer, but uncommon board! Well, the board itself is kinda generic, but the BIOS on a variant from Creative Labs (Yes, that Creative, from the SoundBlaster cards) is impossible to find!

The board I want a BIOS from is a Creative Labs M000, basically a Shuttle HOT-637 but with a BIOS customized by Creative!

Anyone has one that is willing to dump it?

Thanks, indeed a very nice board from a scrap lot and I am happy its running again! It reports some problems with the cache but I assume one IC is still missing there.
