Hello Vogons. I uploaded two drivers to archive.org. Found on old backup CDr's. Neither are on the Vogons Drivers website at the moment and could be added:

NVIDIA Detonator 3 6.50 display driver: https://archive.org/details/nv_detonator_650
VideoLogic GrafixStar 560 Windows 95 driver 4.3.2: https://archive.org/details/gs560432

The GrafixStar 560 driver might work with any generic Cirrus Logic CL-GD5465 (Laguna 3D) but I cannot test this thanks to these cards becoming quite rare and a bit expensive.

Hmm ... archive org is not allowing uploads today 🙁
Was going to upload a SB Live CD there and here too.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Yes knew they had locked it up back in October. Read elsewhere they started allowing them a few days ago but think that person meant started archiving websites again and not software uploads...
Checked and Vogons is being archived again, re-started on Nov 3.

It would be cool to reference the Megalab.it USB storage driver. It works well with Windows98 in all languages.

A tiny hope to find the driver (inf-files and color profiles) for old Panasonic monitors. Mine is PanaSync S50i. I found several archives, but they came before this monitor was produced.

The drivers were on a floppy bundled with the monitor.

See attached. Contains Windows 95/98 drivers for many Panasonic monitors including S50i. I can upload to Vogonsdrivers later.

Hi,
i checked Library progress, my impression is manual section is quite small, manuals are quite small in filesize, so it would be great to upload them, before sources will came dry, because sooner or later, will manual disappear in original source. For example Socket 7 manual are mostly gone, same with Slot 1 / Slot A, socket 370.
Here is my 2 cents to improve it:
https://mega.nz/file/lUZjUazI#Zie82v3Gbg0ZThS … AVWdKzcUN-qSWCQ
I some have a time, it would be nice to sort manuals to sub directories depends on type.. like mainboards, network cars, sound card. My package is already sorted.

Im old goal oriented goatman, i care about facts and freedom, not about egos+prejudices. Hoarding=sickness. If you want respect, gain it by your behavior. I hate stupid SW limits, SW=virtual world, everything should be possible if you have enough raw HW.

Good idea with sub directories for Manuals section.

I never got a reply from the guy that runs vogonsdrivers...

So we're depending on a guy that goes radio silent for long stretches? I have less faith in this system than I do the Internet Archive. We need something decentralized. Not going to waste my time trying to get drivers uploaded here. Will find something better.

Wouldn't it make more sense to upload motherboard manuals to The Retro Web?

They have a much more robust categorization and search system there.

PC#1: Pentium MMX 166 / Soyo SY-5BT / S3 Trio64V+ / Voodoo1 / YMF719 / AWE64 Gold / SC-155
PC#2: AthlonXP 2100+ / ECS K7VTA3 / Voodoo3 / Audigy2 / Vortex2
PC#3: Core 2 Duo E8600 / Foxconn P35AX-S / X800 / Audigy2 ZS
PC#4: i5-3570K / MSI Z77A-G43 / GTX 970 / X-Fi

Well I do know he can disappear for a few weeks at time. BTW: a day or two ago Archive org started allowing uploads again, BUT you cannot edit them so if you post something make sure the description and everything is just how you want it.

I just got a Rocketfish 7.1 Sound Card working, looks like the only drivers are currently on the Wayback Machine - https://web.archive.org/web/20140611151617/ht … s/RF-71SDCD.zip

It would be great to get these on VogonsDrivers. It's basically a rebadged XtremeAudio as I understand it, but neither one of the DanielK drivers seem to work with it (I know it's actually a Audigy card or even older). To make things even more fun, the archive is truncated and the DirectX files are corrupted. Fortunately one doesn't need them to install the driver and they're of course easy to get. I was able to extract the driver files with 7zip without a problem.

That DM arrived barely over 1 week ago. I'm not terminally online.

Squallstrife, what do think about adding some sub categories to Manuals ? Good idea ? Bad idea ?

Sounds good actually!

I'm having a look at ruthan's archive as we speak, it's pretty comprehensive, and has a good structure I think.

Any other wants or suggestions on what the sub-tree looks like are welcome 😀

Looking at that and what is in Manuals already, it does look good. Keeping your current main cat naming convention in the sub cats would make nice and consistent. Maybe just dupe the Mains into Manuals ?
Am off for a few days and this weekend so could start moving some fairly quick if you had time to do it this week.

I'll try to remember to do that tonight. Stay tuned.

Edit: I've created the categories under Manuals. I haven't moved anything yet though.

Edit2: I've filed everything currently in there into the new sections. Miscellaneous is new, and has some sub-sections. Let me know if you think this breakdown is necessary, or if those items could just go directly in Miscellaneous, or even just directly under Manuals, or something like that! 😀
