So, I work in an electronics store and a couple of days ago a customer asked if we sold computer cables, specifically old 50-pin internal SCSI cables. Unfortunately we haven't sold those for many years, if ever, but he was hoping we had one hanging around in some old dusty forgotten corner or something. We chatted about old computer stuff and I learned he needed it for accessing some really old backup SCSI stuff at work. I told him that while we didn't have any cables like that in the store I probably had some at home and could give him one because I have no real use for them.
The next day I called him and told him I had the cable for him and he picked it up later that day. Not only was he really happy and promised to give me some of the stuff he had found in the basement at his work when he was done backing it up, but he also actually called my regional supervisor to gush about getting great service. 😀
A couple of days later the guy reappeared with the following stuff, asking me if I wanted it:
