There's a lot of talk for not mentioning the XP-aimed SSE-stripped version of Palemoon, that I hope is still out there maintained by somebody somewhere.

?

That New Moon is an XP browser based on Palemoon/Firefox.
It's also available in different versions. Normal, Non-SSE, SSE-enabled and 64-Bit.
No idea how that specific Palemoon build is any different here, except being older? 🙁

Ah I forgot how to read a thread. Yeah just try out New Moon if that's the case. It was how I resolved to use an old PIII Thinkpad a million years ago now. Twitter and Youtube were still bloated platforms back then but I did use the latter on it and it still ran ok on the Rage Fury Pro or the S3 chrome or whatever it had. Had the last version of Paint.NET to not need it as well, I think.

Um, does it even make sense without SSE2/SSE3 anymore? 🤔

The modern webpages are so heavy that both my Raspberry Pi 4 and my Mac Pro 2006 are on their knees.
And latter is based on server hardware (2x Xeon CPUs)..

And and by this point, the lack of SSE 4.1 starts to become an issue to me, too.
That Mac runs XP Pro, but some VMs really want SSE 4.x by now.

Official 64-bit Pale Moon is moving towards requiring AVX capable CPU as minimum soon.

Raspberry Pi 5 is faster, though they say it's still meh with heavier web apps. Not too bad for my taste when it comes with web browsing if you can forgive poor GPU and don't expect to run videos in very high resolution and other rich graphics content in the web browser. Of course it's unfair to compare its GPU to traditional full blown dedicated graphics cards in usual PCs.
