Great! I'm happy I was able to help. Windows 98's driver models and audio stack quirks are not well documented even now and I've been very deep in the weeds lately trying to get HD Audio functioning on real hardware.

Also check the version of the General User GS soundfont on the WP32 McCake, mine shiped with 1.5, but 2.0+ sounds a lot better
