If ReactOS was good enough now to run all Windows stuff properly, and do it securely, then it would have been an ideal gift for those who want to stick with Windows but who's PC or laptop can't support the upgrade (well, Microsoft call it an upgrade) to Windows 11. I'd probably have put it on my old laptop then, instead of Linux.
But realistically, I don't see ReactOS ever being anything more than a novelty (no disrespect meant to it's makers) due to it's very slow progress. By the time ReactOS does become complete enough to use with all Windows games and programs, all PCs and laptops that are still in use will be powerful enough to run any Windows programs or games in a virtual machine, or even just due to a Windows compatible layer or something running on whatever OS future machines will use.
