haha...i found what causes the crash. Change mpu401 = none....by default is mpu401 = intelligent

Change mpu401=uart.....it works now. stupid intelligent not intelligent enough. 😜

what are the sound settings you selected for the game ?

i did not set any sound setting. the midi is the one that cause the crash though i think. How do i see the sound setting?

installer, setup.exe, menu screen configure, something that's used to change the configuration of the game

I am new to dosbox and the mechwarrior game crashes after the mission and was reading on here and it said to change the mpu401=urat or mpu401=none? and my question is how do you change the mpu401?

You have 2 options:

Just before you run the program inside DOSBox, give the 3 commands

mpu401
mpu401=uart
mpu401

or you can go to the folder where you installed DOSBox and change it by opening dosbox.conf with Notepad. Then start DOSBox and check that the changed worked by giving the command

mpu401

i guess he first must create the conf file with the config command..
