I don't think Tomb Raider supports more than two joystick buttons. Here's a passage from the readme:
Q. I can't define all the keys on my GamePads and/or Joysticks. Why not ?A. Tomb Raider was originally designed to be played with a keyboard on thePC. With the increase in popularity of GamePads and Joysticks on the PCwe have included support for many of these. Please refer to the manualfor further details. Over the coming weeks, we will be evaluating a rangeof new GamePads and Joysticks and if the demand is there, we'll release asmall patch to accomodate them. Keep an eye out on the WWW.TOMBRAIDER.COMweb site.
I have worked around the limitation by using the DOSBox mapper to assign TR's control keys to joystick buttons, which worked perfectly. Don't forget to set "buttonwrap=false" in dosbox.conf when trying this.
For me it supports 4 buttons
Ah, maybe i did the config before the "buttonwrap" function was added, or i did something wrong. I'll have to check it out again, didn't play the game in a while.
