This seems to work for me.

How can I toggle between hercules green and orange ? I just have black/white

Forgot I changed the mapper a bit 🤣, its working now.
Always thought it would be sharper because of the hercules resolution.

Could it be that Altered Beast also needs a patch? I can't get it to work in Hercules; it gets stuck on the SEGA logo.
