PCI 1.0 mianly used on 486 5.0v signaling, 32-bit bus width, and 33 MHz this where you can run in major problem with any addon device that was build after 1995 it more then likey not going to work due all changes so there for a Universal PCI Device will not work becuases of missing pins where the 3.3v slots is.
PCI 2.0 Pentium MMX on up 5.0v signaling, 32-bit bus width, and 33 MHz clocking some Universal 3.3/5.0v PCI Device could be used here.
PCI 2.1/2.3 Pentium 2 on up 3.3/5.0v signaling, 32-bit bus width, and 33 MHz clocking a Universal PCI Device can be used here how ever min OEM remove 5v key so not all add-on device would work.
