Ok, well
720x480x16, r_picmip 1, r_vertexlight 1
1508 frames, 352.8 seconds: 4.3fps
with one of these babies
Methinks that the PCX2 is not the optimal video card for Q3.
didn't expect quake3 to support powervr card after all
and, what cpu did you run with that card?
someday i am going to play it on my rendition v1000 too.
for the record a vood0o 5 with 2x 2800+ amd processors nets a 13.3 fps @ 1280x1200 If I started without steam, and without excel and crome in teh backgroun i probably could do a bit better. ;P

C2D E8500 @ 3.8 , Nvidia GTX580 3GB , 1920x1200, highest settings (No AA, No AF, Trilinear filtering) 106.2 FPS.
Quake III Arena version 1.32c
I think it's not too bad for this 4+ year old machine.
edited, faster frame rate, forgot r_mode -1 =]
here comes my results:
core2duo e7400 @ 3.33g(333*10), geforce 7900gtx: 104fps.

k6-2+ 550(100*5.5), geforce2 mx200: 6.4fps
cyrix 6x86-66(66*1), rage128vr: 0.50fps.(yeah, this demo has 1508 frames, and took more than 3000 seconds to finish)
winchip-133(66*2), rage pro: 0.53fps.
pentium3-850, rendition1000: 2.0fps.
