The Login file was the only file of the group that is associated with PROTECCT that had a read-only attribute.

I believe I'll try to use one of the VM's you suggested. Do you think one of them might be better for my purpose than the others?

No. PROTECT is the dBase command for calling the utility for encrypting files. I'm still using dBase IV.

This language is ambiguous. Look at ALL the files, not just the ones you think are associated with PROTECT.

I like VMware Player, but it's more a matter of personal preference.
