It's been a very long couple of weeks imo. At least just say it's not coming if it's not.
Currently checking my G4-PPC MacMini 1.42Ghz with 10.3.9 and Dosbox 0.72 with dappelgrey-frontent.
working fine, but is relatively slow, even with 6000 cycles.
Does it depend which renderer I choose? fullscreen/window ...

I don't know about the rendering performance. But you may be interested in this patch:
PowerPC Dynamic Recompiler (patch)
It allows you to use dynamic (recompiling) core on PowerPC which is much faster than normal (interpreting) core.
It mostly depends on the very poor performance ;(
Jmarsh put a whole lot work into making the ppc dynrec core and it goves my old PPC mac mini a very big boost but it cannot boost what isn't there...
Edit: definitely use the opengl output to get more speed.
