...Nicht's tried to use GUSEMU with actual computer games in the past, and has failed every time, although if you've had more success, let us know. Supposedly it works pretty good on demoz/etc.

Thanks for reminding me. I tried this one as well, nothing at all.

That is really weird. Is there some default bank or something that the GUS has on it by default that GUSEmu doesn't?

Yes, it’s my fault.

Perhaps if we started testing many games/apps with GUSEMU, perhaps it would light a fire under the author to get debugging... *puts it on To-Do list*

Perhaps if someone still had an actual GUS...😉

Yes, it’s my fault.

Actually, I have an Ultrasound PNP Pro. I just don't know where it is. Hrrm...goes on the "Someday..." list.

BTW, I noticed that after I installed the most recent GusEmu, I now have "Run with GusEmu32" as a "right-click" option.

Unfortunately, it seems to have the same success rate as just running it concurrently.

Yes, it's a known fact that Vlad's been talking with Tibor Schütz. See? http://www.deinmeister.de/gusemu/thanx.htm

Somehow, I missed that GUSEmu32 saw minor updates on September 25th, updating it to v.0.90. I'll do an announcement in Release Announcements later...

...besides the fact that anyone can look at Vlad's source code at SourceForge... *smacks forehead*

Except that it doesn't want to work with Visual C++ 6.0 after it's been there, heh...

Yes, it’s my fault.

Well, you've got the wrong version of Visual Studio 6 or the wrong DOS2UNIX or UNIX2DOS combination. The stupid thing (VS6, not you 😉 ) won't say what service pack it is in the "About" box, but anyway... Heck, not even the beta .net was able to open the DSP and DSW files from SourceForge, I had to manually do CR/LF conversion on them (and don't ask me how long it took me to figure that that might be the problem). Yet another reason to simply *LOVE* Micro$oft, no?! 😜

And no, I don't recall talking about "Run with..." with TS but hey, isn't that the point of open-source (i.e. getting ideas -- and code -- around)? Now, if only I could get my hands on *his* VxD code... 😉 Good news is that I've heard TS has also been talking to our friend Harekiet about GUS support in DosBox, so here-here to GUS support in DosBox.

I figured that's what happened. 😀

If you don't mind me asking, why?

I echo that: Hear, hear! 😁

According to http://www.straightdope.com/
The correct term is, "hear, hear!" It is an abbreviation for "hear, all ye good people, hear what this brilliant and eloquent speaker has to say!"

Sorry, didn't think you'd pick up on that subtle correction. Now, why would you like to look at his VXD code?

Nothing to be sorry about, my fault. 😀

Not for me, but for those poor Win9x souls. 😀 Though it's not really worth the effort unless it's a really straightforward transplant.

Didn't realise there was a DOS2UNIX/UNIX2DOS combination. Email?
