Well it was about funkadoom's DOS-in-XP problems, but then the power of "tangents" kicked in.

You don't have to have a separate hard drive to dual boot. All you need is some free space at the "front end" of your present hard drive and partition manager software.

Mixed-up two different threads, disregard that.

A dual-boot is your safest bet right now. Just make sure you plan it out first, don't just try to install 98 on top of 2000.
XP is BAD!!!
I'll take it. Just mail me the CD and the serial number. 😉

Yes, it’s my fault.

WHY NOT!??

XP is full of SPY ware, bugs and thinks that uses all the system resources... My new Western Digital 120GB 8 mb chache camed in the mail today... and tomorow I get some cables and the HD cooler... and then... 98 and 2000... the only thing I need then is a way to use NTFS partisions in 98... 😀 so if I don't say anything on this forum in a wild it's because I am installing drivers on 98 as a god 😉

So you'll be sending it to me via standard mail? 😉

Technically, you already can. Word of warning: this isn't a point-and-click setup. Easy to hose things if you're not careful.

Make sure you've got it all planned out first. I'm not sure how a dual-boot works when the OS's are on two different drives.

Eh? *Stares at funkadoom and backs away slowly*
