I personally have VIA Nehemia 2GHz based client. Similar to LT310 thin client: https://www.parkytowers.me.uk/thin/precedence/tcx3/
It has pure BIOS. No UEFI. Can boot from a large variety, including as A: drive from USB stick.
On top of this, it's audio works well in DOS. I played Doom2 and X-Com: terror from the deep.
No issues or crashes, which is quite expectations, given it's proper VIA C7 processor.
2GHz speed also brings it on par with PIII-800, which was quite common.
Tried to play Quake 1 on it, but can only do low res 320x240, anything higher gives low FPS. Can't remember on what res and on what hardware I played it when I was a child, but I think it was higher res, like 640x480.
The thing though, at that time 15FPS was considered OK, and no one asked for 30 or even 60, like this days.
May be I had AGP card with better bandwidth than integrated into this client, or just didn't care about FPS much back in the days.
