Deskpro/M has a edge connectors for storage and power. On power supply's there is a edge connector through a opening behind the drive cage and several edge connectors under the power supply for the storage stuff (hard drive and floppy drives).

Please provide photos as indicated.

Do you have original cables: power connectors assembly with 3 or 4 connectors to a orange edge connector?

Why? Just checked on mine and no orange connector is visible.
There is a yellow one, and a white one coming from the psu.

Deskpro/M series uses 26 pin floppy drives and will only fit one way due to cables made this way.

The edge connectors have a spacer located where the slit in the pcb edge is. that spacer can be removed and placed in other locations.

Other connector that is 40 pins is for IDE, one edge connector and 40 pin connector.

the 40 pad pcb edge is present in the photo, and on my machine, though no 40 pin connector.

Just an FYI.

Found it… it’s on the I/O board, under the Power supply.

Seems to be a Dallas DS1397.

Anyone knows where I can find a new replacement for it (not NOS, as that is bound to have the battery drained as well)? Preferably one of those CR1220 battery adapters.

Cheers

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.
