yes they are really similar. do you see the "P/N 8925" mark on the topright of my card? i guess its a coding of generic reference pcb layout, and i've seen several similar coding on other tseng cards: some et3000 are 8822, 8830, while 8925 and 8926 are et4000.

Yeah, that's the part number I was referring to. Interesting to know that it was a reference PCB though!

I see one very similar to yours in this post:

... except that it has a whole bunch of crystals. Interestingly, the chip is marked ET4000AX but has the same 24340F004 as your ET4000C.

The date code is 90 - 08, compared to 90 - 02 on yours. It's crazy how many variants of cards and chips existed back in those days.

wtf? his card is newer than mine yet with a full set of crystals while mine is already using a clockgen(with 2 crystals remaining)?
