Nope, Screamer is the folder I set as my C drive. Setup installs the game in the folder name /S2.

Edit: I'm thinking, after about half a dozen reinstalls, that my CD might be damaged in some manner, so I'm downloading a new possible CD image for S2. Will see whether or not this is the case.

Nope, still didn't work. Can run through Install and Setup fine, but not the game.

Can't do that with the original CD. And there's no difference when I mount this new .img with Toast. What else could I try?

Can't do that with the original CD.

Then use some cool OSX tool to create a cue/bin from that cd.

Not sure how that helps. Is running S2 with an image supposed to bypass the disc error?

Edit: Well, the new copy I've got here is an .img/.ccd/.cue/.sub. When I try mounting the .img file, the response is: Could not extract drive geometry from image. Use parameter -size bps, spc, hpc, cyl to specify the geometry.

Any one of those I should try?

Oh crap, I just realized that this was created with CloneCD. D:

Depending on what cdrom interfacing can be used by sdl/dosbox to directly
access the cdrom on OSX the cue/bin should be superior. If it works then i don't know.

And apparently, I can't find a ccd-to-bin converter for OSX. >_>

There are bugs in dosbox imgmount messages (it displays wrong messages)

You can mount cue/img too.

You have to mount .cue file and at the end you need -t cdrom

Give the man a damn prize. 😁

Works like a charm, game runs at full speed with no hiccups so far; thank you so much.

Is that too unexplicit in the readme? And don't see any wrong message given
that imgmount's default (cdrom omitted) are harddrive images.

we could remove all dosbox messages

Why should the correct message be removed?

cause everything is in the readme

I said the *reason* for the given message is in the readme.
