Looks to be like a recent enough thread on an old card. I recently came into ownership of one of these and .. its marginal. I found that..indeed the ICS1394 chip is indeed faulty in mine. Oddly enough, if I spray it down with cold air, effectively freezing it, the PC boots. If the chip is warm, the PC gets beep codes (386SX in my case).

So, I am looking for a new ICS1394 for a reasonable price. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get one from? I did a search on ebay, but only found a single source, and expensive.
