I'm really leery of any "news" site that is heavily subsidized by a country. specifically China, Russia, and the US.

That would be almost all of them. And I find it highly annoying if only because the sheer amount makes it difficult to weed out the biased crap and find some real information. It makes one so numb that at some point most people probably wouldn't even care about it anymore.
