I forgot to mention one advantage, which I personally am very satisfied with, that is, the design of Arti9m is fully compatible with the bracket used by Socket 370, even if the bulky original pentium pro cooler is installed, it is absolutely safe and stable

You also forgot to mention the major flaw of this design : where is the edge connector milling ? The slot 1 connector is easy to be killed with П-shaped edge.

That can be fixed in 10 mins with some sandpaper.
What can't be fixed is the very long routing.

1. Slightly poor compatibility, P3B-F Mod bios can operate, P2L97 1.02 bios lacks microcode and cannot install XP, Tekram P6F40K-A5 cannot boot

Heyo, glad you've managed to build it and it works!
The BIOS compatibility will be the same with any Socket 8 adapter. With P2L97 I don't think the microcode is an issue. Did you try installing XP with P2 and then booting it with PPro on this same board?

2. No overclocking performance, FSB I can only use 66Mhz or 75Mhz, CPU operating speed is 233Mhz or 225Mhz

I reached 83 MHz without issues, but 100MHz is a no go.

the design is fully compatible with the bracket used by Socket 370, even if the bulky original pentium pro cooler is installed

Ah yes, this was actually one of the main goals. I wish someone 3D-printed those plastic holders and sold them for cheap in bulk...

This. My first batch wasn't bevelled because the factory screwed up, I had to do it manually. And then they sent me 25 fixed boards for free which I don't even need anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm in the process of making another revision, but it's going slow because i've been overloaded with repairs.

Oh.. Oh wait, I just noticed you went with tinned plating instead of gold plating. This probably will result in very unreliable connection.
Always go with gold-plating with connectors like Slot-1, PCI, AGP, DIMM, etc.
The only time tinned will do OK is with tooth-shaped SIMM memory connectors.

Btw in JlcPcb the goldfinger edge connector chamfering is just one click in manuf.spec. configurator, no need to add extra data in PCB design. I used a grinder and sandpaper for finishing, just a few minutes, no problem. I'm still waiting for making order of that tiny R-networks...
One friend pointed me that old Coreboot also supported some Pentium Pro cache init code and could be combined with supported PII slot 1 MBs...

I underestimated the difficulty of using the Pentium Pro Slocket card. Can the bios provided by this website https://oezmen.eu/bios/ support the PPro adapter card?

I downloaded the bios of P2B-DS from this website yesterday and got stuck on this screen. I don’t know why?

However, I can enter Windows normally using a non-PPro CPU, so I don’t quite understand the problem.

This old CPUs should AFAIK POST without microcode update, problem is somewhere else in BIOS code.

This is NOT micro code issue. It's the crash which occurs when the BIOS attempts to write to special registers (MSRs) which exist on p2/3 but not on ppro

It is so. The problem is somewhere . But, mr Artyom says oezmen-kmeow Asus BIOS rules ? And the others are not , don’t and won’t needed anymore? Maybe it’s time to share P2B-D max1024’s BIOS ? What about that? People are demanding.

I didn't say "rules", I said it is there, available to anyone. It is written in bold on oezmen's website that many of the mods are not tested. I tested a few. Some worked, some didn't.

I will also say that those who have the modded BIOS images and not sharing them, instead selling them despite it's not their property, are assholes.

I will share what I have when I have a chance to test everything again.

How about you contribute at least a tiny bit of useful information for once, instead of being a loudmouth?

Here's what I got from max1024.
I never tested P2L97 ones, use at your own risk.
Also P2B-D one is not really properly patched, but it sort of works.

Unfortunately I don't have any Asus Slot 1 MB but e.g. 2 Abits, so I can't test now, but I appreciate when someone put some effort to it and share it for free despite it may not be perfect....
I just wanted to point out there's other possible way to use old Coreboot on such MBs, it would also require some effort because Coreboot MB support list is very limited an I don't have supported MB either but it's opensource so modding could be easier than patching a binary....

Not being able to install XP with LX chipset and for example Coppermine CPU (and apparently Pentium Pro also?) is known compatibility issue with these chisepts. It is not caused by the slocket.

Many 3Dfx and Pentium III-S stuff.

Yes, I know about the coppermine support problem of P2L97. Although the coppermine cpu of Celeron 66 FSB can be booted on P2L97 through the adapter card, the boot will show the lack of microcode, and it can only install windows95/98 and cannot install 2k or xp.

I got a P2B-F motherboard today, but unfortunately I am still stuck on the pnp check again when using the pentium pro CPU. In fact, I personally agree with paying for bios , because modifying the bios requires a lot of time and technology, and I don’t think it should be free.

Currently, socket8 bios modification technology comes from Russia and surrounding countries. Considering that it is very difficult to transfer funds from Taiwan to Russia, I can pay you with Bitcoin, but I need to send the bios file to me first to test that it can be used and is not a scam. The idea of transferring the bios first and then paying for it sounds weird.
What if I take the bios and run away?
In fact, I plan to get P2B-F's modified bios first, and then there will be more commissions to modify other motherboard bios.
I will not casually break the trust with the Russians.
