Kings Quest 2 also makes graphical glitches without tandy sound.
i tested it.
text seems garbled, this seems an issue with kq2 itself.

Tested with C&T 65550 PCI Card, no issue with 8Bit Paradise VGA

i have no idea i`m not familiar with sierra stuff.

but my issue has nothing todo with yours.. so its different graphical glitch.. caused by modern card.

do you run with mode -t ?

you run the card on AT ? on 0C0h ? this could be the cause of the issue.

My card is set to 0C0h. I'll change that and see what happens. It's on a Packard Bell Pack-Mate 28 Plus (486) and the GPU is a Cirrus Logic CL-GD5428 w/ 2MB video RAM.

Can you put Tandy Card inside a XT with VGA and try again ?

On 286/386/486+ the DMA Controller #2 uses Adress 0C0h.

Seems there are multiple Versions of KQ2

one using 2.917 and 2.936 Interpreter and there is a Patch for Tandy Sound.
and one with 2.426 and 2.411 Interpreter, no patch.

maybe there is a patch for KQ2 to newer Version ?

Ok grab this Interpreter Update:

Unzip it into your KQ2 Directory.
Put AGIT2917.EXE Patch from oldskool.org inside.

Launch AGIT2917.EXE

I only have a 486 present, sadly. I'll try the one you sent to me and see what happens.

I`m pretty sure it will work.

You should also consider to run the card only on 0C0 if needed.
because it will make problems.
For example if i run the Card on 0C0 my ne2000 card seems to disable dma and i get slow performance.

It works. Going to copy the other KQ2 directory and files over to my 486 so that I can have the PC speaker one and fix up my KQ2 batch files to point to the right directories and executables per sound card.

Can you tell the measurements of the card, (especially the height). I am building an low profile case for my 386, then i know how low can i go 😀
Does this card use - 5 V voltage?

Its 6,2cm heigh, with the ISA Connector.
When plugged in it needs around 5.5cm height. Additional 0.4cm can be freed if non-angled Headers are used for Speaker In / Out

C12 is under the IC Socket for SN76489.

Some people did not respond to my messages so i still have Cards left, if someone is interested.
