CT7230 is just MPEG2 decoder (PC-DVD Encore).

CT1350B - that's Sound Blaster 2.0 - you just need OPL2 chip (you can still buy them on eBay) and you are good to go (as long as the card works).

Yes ! Because your card has the little socketed Y3014B DAC chip it just needs a Yamaha YM3812 chip in the big socket.
Nice haul on all the vid cards too !

I bought the Tyan Tiger 100 S1832D Dual Slot1 motherboard. Looks like revision F, it will probably work fine with two P3 850MHz processors.

Ordered an Acorp Slot 1 440BX AT motherboard on ebay a few weeks ago and it came today.

I'm probably going to replace my K6-2 motherboard and CPU with this and a slot 1 P3.

I have never used (or even seen in person) any Acorp products before, I downloaded a pdf manual for this board and it helpfully states this is a SOLT 1 motherboard. 😁

Thanks! I think this is the non-E version of the P4P800 Deluxe... it has the 3COM onboard ethernet, and the VIA chip for IDE RAID. The mobo says "REV 2.00" on the PCB and the documentation on the Asus website shows the REV1 board with silver heatsink.

One of the most enjoyable things about building and maintaining an old DOS PC is that you can ALWAYS find some way to improve it!

I'm currently running my P133 (Baby-AT motherboard) with a NOS AT power supply that so far has worked fine, but I'm a bit paranoid about it failing (and taking something else out with it). I recently ordered an AT-ATX cable converter (Ebay) and an ENERMAX EG375P-VE from a seller who had several NOS up for sale on Yahoo Auctions JP for just around 20USD before shipping.

I thought I got myself an 8bit ISA serial card for 1Euro. But then I realized that its a female connector. Too few pins for VGA.
Did I buy a CGA/Monochrome video card?
Can I use it on a VGA monitor with a passive adapter?

What is the text on the main chip? I can't quite make it out from the photo... is it EICIO or BIGIO or something else?

It probably isn't an MDA, because it lacks the 16.000Mhz or 16.257Mhz oscillator. But you can confirm whether it's an MDA by trying to write a value to the CRTC cursor address register:
