Exactly! I thought someone here would notice very soon. There was no mention about Roland in the item description. It had two pictures similar as the one on my post. It was impossible to see if the case was full length from the pictures. However the sound card did seem different than usual. It took a while before I recognized it. However, the asking price was 500 €.

But when I contacted the seller she mentioned right away that it has rare Roland in it. I got the idea that she was waiting for someone to know what was on sale. I got the computer for 275 €. It is expensive (unless you compare to ebay prices) but this was the first time I had change to get LAPC-I (and I've wanted it for 31 years, ever since I read a review from a finnish magazine PC-pelit 1990).

I got a nice deal on a ASUS P4P800 SE with socket 478 and an Geforce 6800GT APG with 256MB DDR3 with the mermaid artwork from the NVIDIA Nalu Tech-Demo.

Also included 1x 512MB DDR400 RAM from MTD that was "Made in Germany", a Northwood 3GHz Pentium 4 (sadly with 2 missing pins, see picture) and a beefy CPU cooler with adjustable fan, the I/O shield, a IDE and a Floppy cable.
This was 46€ with shipping, i guess it's a good deal these days on ebay.

The P4 CPU might work despite those two missing pins. The seller shows a picture from the initial boot screen of the board. I will find out in the future.

Quick question: Is the seller from Oberhausen, Germany?
I believe I was promised a system with identical parts but the guy didn't show up when I went to pick the stuff up.
Just curious wether this is a coincidence or parts from that exact system. 😄

Depends on your definition of useful 😉 If you enjoy tinkering with these early 3D accelerators then this one should be fun.

I kinda, sorted mist that era in computers totally. Just was happily chugging along on with my P133(which was a clone 286/16 system) with Dos/Win 3.x on it.....

Not really computer related but since they both sport the Yamaha YM3812 FM sound chip I figured it somewhat belongs here. 😀

Managed to get a Yamaha pss-470 and pss-570 keyboard for very cheap.

(photo's fom the net, but they are both in good condition, the 470 actually near-mint)

And a few soviet ECL chips from the 80's, almost as old as I am.

I found someone giving for free some ATA and floppies Cables. Just had to pay 3$ for shipping

I actually received all this stuff, adapters, RAMs, and a SCSI Card 😀
Always nice to "save" this kind of all stuff even if I actually don't need them 😉

Bought yet another CT2230 bundle with the CR-563-B CD-ROM drive with all of the cables.

Nice. I sold my NES, SNES, and Gamecube a few years ago. They didn't get used that much and I figured I could just use an emulator on my Wii for when I did want to play the NES and SNES games and the Wii can play Gamecube games natively.

I had put a new cart slot in the NES when I originally got it. Just had too many systems and decided to cut down and get rid of a few I didn't really need.

Yesterday I got a Intex PCI 5.1 Sound card with C-Media CMI8738-MX chipset.

New toys. Ct479 and p4p800-e deluxe some Pentium m and some 2gig ram included.

I figured as much. I will put up a thread on it later when I have tested that it works. I need a fitting case.. preferably something small and feisty.. Maybe just a single 5.25 drive..

Yep. Just have to have one with the GameCube controller ports and use GameCube controllers.
