In the car I mostly listen to NPR. Some music sometimes. I have no CDs and never stream music on my PC. I typically turn music off in games. 😀

Similar here. I usually listen to instrumental music or soundtracks when working because the lyrics distract me and make me work slower.
What I listen to actually depends on the kind of work I'm trying to do...
Programming : Philip Glass, Terry Riley, Steve Reich etc. Minimalism works for me!
Writing : Soundtracks (game, film, etc.)
Animation : This song, This one or this one or something similarly upbeat but soft to the ear.
Video Editing : Mostly this one. I need to hear the video I'm editing. The deep sound allows this.
For me it depends on the type of music. When I find I need to buckle down and get some work done and not allow anything to distract me I put on good metal or some sort of electronic music without lyrics and I get hyper focused.
I like a lot of diffrent music. Mostly Rock and Metel. My favorite band growing up was Korn, also like Disturbed, System of a Down, Slipknot, and many many others. Later got introduced into other non-American types of metal. Really like Apocalyptica, Nightwish, Sonic Syndicate, and others that is just whats on the top of my head at the moment.
Currently in my CD changer are:
BJORK - POST.
Depeche Mode - Violator.
New Order - Technique.
A-HA Cast in Steel.

Can you guess the title and artists of the song I'm listening to?
Maybe I could just choose to ignore this
Let it fade like water through the sand
Maybe I cold just leave this behind me
Some things you’ll never understand
Cause this is such a fine line
A fine line to cross
And this is not a question
Whether you will or you won’t
You either have it or you don’t
Our love’s a stone throw away
We get so near
But we’re still so far away
Concealed behind all our floored disguises
We’re even here at the turn of the tide
Words escape
Like ocean ray of lights
They say you hear it before you see it coming
But you got to see it to believe it with your eyes
Baby are we dreaming?
Through this sky free falling
I’ll never stop loving you
Run to my rescue
I’ll never stop loving you
Run to my rescue
Our love’s a stone throw away
We get so near
But we’re still so far away
Concealed behind all our floored disguises
We’re even here at the turn of the tide
Words escape
Like ocean ray of lights
They say you hear it before you see it coming
But you got to see it to believe it with your eyes
Baby are we dreaming?
Run to my rescue

What can I say, I just love the genre. People say emo is emotional music, but I beg to differ. To me, true emotional music is something like this.

Emo is still under emotional music, it's just dark emotions.

I hooked up my 486 to some modern audio equipment and listened to some old synth tunes. I can't believe how awesome it sounded. My DSLR's mic isn't the best, but even the recorded video doesn't sound too bad.
