The CD rom drive somehow let out the magic smoke and stopped working 😵

I spent about 3 hours trying to get it to work, and there is now a 40x cd rom in the place of the original cd drive.

That stinks.. nothing like a late 90s CD drive bogging down a perfectly time correct 486 rig 😎 .. seems like those older CD drives just struggle to survive into the late twenty-teens
