Do you have a dead one? I would really like to see this chip de-capped, only because it's a little odd to me that it has so many no-connect pins. There were other packages that would have worked given the size and so few I/O, like maybe SOIC-16. So I wonder if it has a external memory controller, and they planned to support soundfonts, but maybe they found it didn't work during chip tape-out, or maybe they decided not to go in that direction for another reason. Or maybe they just had an excess of TQFP-100 packages.

dreamblaster shed some light on the status of the E-Wave in another thread. Posting here for the benefit of people who aren't stalkers.

Both will be limited runs, depends how long i can source excellent quality chips.
So far i see no problem for these.
E-wave next revision prototype seems to work really great now.
I will post a few more recordings
