I got another laptop computer 😀 A Samsung SENS Pro 500 - a pretty nice Pentium laptop that's fairly equivalent to the Toshiba 430CDT, except it's got L2 cache and is completely passively cooled. The passive cooling appears to not be the best idea since the laptop gets REALLY toasty from prolonged use, which would be why it's got flip-down legs at the back to raise it up.
It was faulty but it was a nice fault to fix with just a bad LCD cable connection. It looks like the main NiMH battery leaked long before I got it but it was removed and the PCB for the battery connector is separate from the main PCB so it's still in great condition.

The BIOS battery was a CR2032 hidden underneath the power board and getting the palm rest off was kinda funny. The laptop is designed in such a way that you have to disassemble and remove the screen before you can get the palm-rest off, yikes. But the BIOS battery is now replaced with a fresh CR2032 spot welded onto the original tabs / cable.
Then the CD-ROM drive didn't work, wouldn't spin but that was resolved simply by opening up the back of the drive and re-seating the ribbon connectors.
Also, I got a slotket that's supposed to be coppermine capable. I was pretty annoyed when I got it because I overpaid and instead of coming with the P3 in the pictures and an Intel heatsink, it came with a cooler master heatsink and a Celeron 633... But then I spotted the original paperwork in the box... It's a 370SPD Rev 1.0 CPU Card and that confirms it's suitable for coppermine. Probably not one that Intel would've approved, probably put some voltages out of spec idk. I wanted it because I got a Pentium III 1GHz SL5QV CPU but don't want to waste my MS6905 slotket on it.

Oh! AND what I think is a sealed original 3DFX Voodoo II SLI Cable. Looking forward to testing it 😀
BTW, did you guys know that someone in the US on the bay is selling 70x SL5QV Pentium III 1GHz 100FSB CPUs for $20 each? I'm on the wrong continent for it to be worth it to me but it's nice to see such a cool CPU easily available once more.
