Is that passive heatsink on a PCIe-AGP bridge?

Bought this lovely looking LG Flatron 17” F700BL.ALAUE today, got it for $100 AUD which for a 17" Flatron CRT is rather cheap. Monitor has been tested and the picture is bright and sharp.

Have wanted a True flat screen CRT for ages but they have always been out of what I consider a decent price range, this one will get plenty of use !

You were super lucky to get that. Usually 17 CRTs go for $350 to $400 plus $100 shipping. Bob sells some good stuff.

Yeah I have eBay plus too which gave me 30 bucks off the original asking price of 130, I feel a little bad about that but well 30 bucks is ..uhh not much at the store 🤣. Cant even get a carton for 30 bucks anymore.

I got lucky with my 19" Trinitron CRT also. Only £62. That was in 2022 though. Haven't found such a good deal since.

These cards are pretty nuts, yeah. You can also find them with a genuine Yamaha OPL3.

I think so, there are other brand 7600gt/gs cards also with heatsink on top of the bridge + fan on the gpu.

The CT3900 has genuine OPL3, integrated in that CT1747 chip. My CT3980 has the chip as well. I believe CT3990 is the first one without OPL3. 🙁

I remember a while ago someone posted a AIW card collection and the only one missing was the Rage PRO.

You are correct. I zoomed in and stopped looking closely after I saw the Creative logo on the chip. My mistake!

Nice! I used an M3A78-EM (780G chipset, yours is the 770) in an HTPC I built way back in February of 2008. I equipped it with an Athlon X2 5050e (45W 2.6Ghz), which was a pretty popular budget combo at the time. Looking at the old newegg invoice, it was around $180 for the board, CPU and 2x2GB of DDR2-800. With the Radeon HD 3200 IGP this was an extremely capable little system for the money, and it was much easier to cool that 45W CPU.

Had it hooked up to a CRT with a VGA to S-Video adapter too so I could use it at 1024x768 at least (had to blow up the text size for it to be readable, but using a PC at 640x480 in 2009 was just not feasible). Good times. 😁

Nah, some standard size like 2 or 4MB, depending on whatever 30pin SIMMs I can source.

I liked this motherboard, besides it was cheap, I have other similar cards even Gigabyte, I think the chipset is NVIDIA, the idea is to put a CPU like Phenom or Phenom II, at least 4X, but it depends on how much they cost, if you want the X6 you could also put it.

Yup, Yamaha YMF-719. I have one of those as well. Pretty basic build wise but has nice sound output IMO.
As for OEM, I think it was Labway.
