I double checked the slot pointer setting for my board:
Any system board memory from 1 MB up to
SL TPTR (slot pointer) is accessible as on-board
extended memory.
I understand this as „hole definition“

I would try that... If you set it to a low value like 4MB then see how much extended memory (RAM) is reported... if it stops where you set it then that's the right setting.
Strangely the setting had no effect on my available memory 🙁(
