386DX ATX board with a switchable oscillator would be certainly lovely.
I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

I got mine a few months ago. In before the rush 😀
It is a white PCB too 😁
I posted more info here: https://www.vogonswiki.com/index.php/NuXT
Mine is Version 1.1 while the black ones are newer 1.2
Wow wild. I didn't know this thing existed till I watched LGR's build of one. I have to say that I think I prefer the look of the black one. But I'm old school like that. That said it's still a sweet looking bit of kit! Glad you are enjoying yours. Cheers!

Oh the white NuXT is awesome looking. I had seen that poking around on the net after I ordered mine. I understand its a lower revision ...but the changes between 1.1 and 1.2 are minor I think? Anyways, thats great looking...but why isnt in a case yet! Give that a home! 😁
Thanks for sharing!

Holy cow! That looks amazing! The back plate is not at all what I was expecting. I thought it would be some basic stamped metal or something. Looks like it's held on with the screws from VGA and Serial. This is like 100 times better than a stamped metal. Level of excitement increasing! Would really like to get mine before the weekend.

Yeah its missing onboard Sound OPL or 3 Voice Generator ;D
I like this Mainboard but can`t afford one its not cheap 😀
As i see the VGA ROM and the BIOS are seperate you can save Space by combining them.

I wonder how you imagine this to work... I mean, since a gotek just lets you write different sized disk images...
Flash your gotek with flashfloppy and you can emulate 5.25"

Awesome IO shield! I'd been toying with the idea of painting the case I'm going to use period correct 80's "oyster white", but now I'm going to stick with black, as the MB is also black.

Not really. You need parallel access to both parts...

A little about software engineering: https://byteaether.github.io/
This is so awesome! Wish I had any use at all for an XT class computer, can't really motivate ordering one now 🙁
About the I/O shield; if someone could get me an accurate dimensional sketch of it, I could easily draw up a model for 3D printing. Then you guys could get it printed in whatever color you want.
its opensource, the geber will give you all you need to print it.
well I dont see it there at present but it should show up there.

Woot! NuXT showed up. It's still inside the shipping box. Will be working on a build video tonight including an unboxing. Should have the video released by Sunday at the latest. As badly as I wanted to open it here at work, it's gotta wait for the unboxing vid. Yay. I also got some slick VGA capture hardware I'll be using for a video for the first time so it's not just a camera pointed at a monitor. You Youtube channel is in my sig below.

Yeah, it seems incredibly well-done. (Probably not FCC-compliant because it lacks shielding... 😀 )
The whole board is well-finished and clean, and I really appreciate the config info printed right on the surface.

Yeah, had a look there first, couldn't find anything either. It's easy enough to replicate though, if you got the measurements 😀

It probably can be compliant if it's made with a ground plane and plated contacts for the jack nuts.
All hail the Great Capacitor Brand Finder
Unboxing and part 1 of my build video on this lovely bit of kit is finally up on Youtube. Unfortunately aftyer like 6 render attempts I finally got it to work but there is a short section from about 3:53 to 4:31 where the video blanks out several times. You can skip it or tough through it. It was 3 hours of troubleshooting then 3+ hours of rendering and another like 12 hours of processing on YouTube. I'm just going to have to leave it that way. I put a warning in the video description as well but I'm sure I'll get comments on it. 😁 This happened because the video editing software I use doesn't seem to like the video files off the Osmo Pocket I used. I loaned my normal 4K Camera to a friend this weekend, but will have it back on Monday and I'll start on part 2.
Aaaaaaaaanyway, I hope you enjoy it. As always I do all my videos with very little prep work, so you see most of the same issues I might run into. Hope you enjoy it.

OPL can be added easily enough. I would be all over this if it somehow had Tandy Graphics and Sound onboard.

It is possible to make an ISA tandy sound card as an addon card.
Someday I would like to try running a sounblaster with CMS and Tandy sound in the same machine.
