Probably best companion for a Voodoo1 you can find.
Any 2D card = best companion for Voodoo. In some cases any ISA VGA card will do the trick.
That said, S3 Virge VX (the slowest one) is around 3x times faster than PMMX 200 when rendering equal 3D scene.
I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.
One question related to these old cards, i can find S3 Virge GX2 4mb for fairly cheap and i plan in future to use it on early MMX configurations, only for 2D DOS games from 1989 up to lets say 1994/5. Are they hav good copabillity for old 2D point click style games like Monkey Island, Indiana Jones, early 3D adventures like Atlantis, Dune 2, Chronicles of the sword, Quest for glory or King Quest series, Gabriel Knight Sins of the Fathers etc.
I would either use it on windows 3.x (enough ram for 16-24-32bit colour) , 2D DOS games, or add it to an XP AGP PC as a secondary to use for system monitoring on a second monitor.
Its much better than a Trident OR Cirrus 512kb -1024kb!
