Is a Gerber file available for your DIP32 ROM card?

Is there any DIP-32 EEPROM less than 512kbit (64kB)?
It requires more complex address decoding or it will just waste address space and possibly overlap with the existing OPTROMs.
So it requires to change the schematic completely not just re-route the gerbers.

Sure seems like most DIP32 eeprom devices that are Dip32 are larger than 64KB
The poster I was replying to had a Dip32 “Disk on chip” adapter, so these are larger than 64KB devices. I’d like to make one with diagnostic tools on it.
Hi Douglas-o, I'm still working on this. I'm thinking about creating a repository to upload the gerbers, but the menu.exe is already available at
I'm also working on Mega_bios 8in1 rom.bios for IBM pc xt and clones

plop is a PCI option rom. Not an ISA option rom. The two are very different. You'd need a PCI NIC with EEPROM socket for plop.
I built one of those cards (the EEPROM version), and I’m running into a strange issue. It behaves as if it needs to “warm up” for about two minutes before XTIDE will actually start during boot. Until then, the system just skips the ROM entirely and gives me a generic “please insert floppy” error.
The machine is a 386 with an MSI MS‑3119 motherboard using an AMIBIOS. I tried enabling the full RAM count at startup, but that didn’t help. I also looked for anything resembling a FAST boot option to disable, but found nothing. I also build two of those and they both have the same problem...
Has anyone seen this kind of behavior before, or have an idea what might be causing it?
Update: after testing the ROM cards in other systems, the problem is linked to that 386 MSI motherboard. Ugh…
