welcome to the world of courier services... it's also incredibly hard to find out what those fees actually are... they try and bury it as deep as they can in their websites...
I got a package from UPS recently (this one I had to pay on arrival) but there was no info whatsoever on the invoice how much the fee they charge actually was, there was just a total amount that included taxes and I suppose the fee as well, as it was more than taxes alone would have been.
I also did not find any info on the UPS site how much that fee is actually going to be, because they only listed the fee for taking care of customs, which was not necessary for this package as it was customs paid in advance, just had to pay VAT.
at least the postal service clearly states that they charge €10 for the service (you can't actually do customs or taxes yourself here, it always goes through either the postal service or a courier) and they clearly tell you the exact amounts calculated for customs, taxes and the fee seperately on the invoice.
