I'm gonna guess that that card is just bad but otherwise worked with your motherboard maybe try another?

btw a list of cards that I have gotten to work in these motherboards has increased

-6200 seems to be a surefire always works
-x1300 also seems to be a surefire but no win 9x support (that I can find) and I don't think any of the drivers are old enough to not need sse so no 586 processors with that card..
-fx5500 the one I have is possibly a knockoff the chip says 5200 under the heatsink
-s3 verge gx (old basic pci video card)
-I'm going to try a 8400gs soon but honestly I'm pretty sure the drivers require sse so it will probably not work

not working:

-gt 610 (and I assume gt520)
-cirris logic cl-gd5430
-trident tgui9680-1
-spitfire oti64111
-9800 gt on adapter
-1060 6gb on adapter
-unidentified msi low profile red card possibly geforce on adapter

I'm thinking that the perfect video card for these systems may be a Radeon x000 series card on a pci to pci express or agp adapter or a geforce 6000 series card on an adapter. though a agp adapter would ptobably only work up to a radeon 9800 because of the 3.3v thing so pci express may be the better choice

in theory, you may even be able to get the top of the line of those working but obviously a low profile one may be most desirable to better fit the adapter

it's not only what card will boot it's also which card has drivers for your OS and processor that sse support is a real PIA

also, i'm running into driver issues on win 9x with geforce 6000 series those reading this may want to consider cards older than 6000 series and older than x radeon series I keep running into driver issues while I can get a x1300 to post I haven't been able to get it working on a pentium/k6 computer cause of drivers and the 6200 doesn't want to work well in win 9x
