I was wondering if there is another PCI board with midi support out there? I mean that GM/XG midi on board.
There is also a clone of the yamaha ?
I found a nice nos one with the ff7 demo disc! The demo has 3dfx support when i remember right.
FF7 in xg midi sounds great. I also played it with a Yamaha MU2000EX.

For GM/XG only, there is the mother of all Yamaha cards, the SW1000XG:

Oh yeah, it also has a Roland GS mode.

ah the SW1000XG Have to look for it.
I managed to run the Audigy 2 ZS on irq 5 and the MX300 at irq 10 without a conflict. I plan the WaveForce on IRQ12 will see how it works.
Would be ok because its for the PS2 mouse, i use USB mouse.
So far im really impressed of the P4 3,06 boosting the voodoo5500. I can even run Morrowind with good framerate.

I got now my 3 Soundboards working on the same time. THe only downside is i have to deaktivate the gameports. There is a conflict where win98Se dont want to boot.
But soundwise anything is working fine

Great build!
Out of curiosity, which revision of the P4S533-E are you using, and which PSU do you use?
I am building a P4S533 rig, but am having difficulty finding a compatible PSU, since yesterday someone with a P4S533-E seems to have the same issue. (the post about this is here: Any advice on a new PSU for an ASUS P4S533 )

SB Audigy 2 ZS Gold

Might as well install Aureal Vortex 2 for A3D 2.0 support in Win9x environment.

I know I'm deleting my creative cards on every rig. My PM build is getting A3D card and mybe a XG along side if they will play nice together. You can always put a wavetable card on a A3d as well

I switched the Case and did some IRQ jumps. Now i can use all three Soundboards and the Gameport of the Yamaha without conflicts. I also add a Sony DVD recorder and connect the digital cd audio to the audigy 2 ZS. Analoge cd Audio to the MX300.
I had to switch the monster on PCI 6 because 4 is shared with the agp slot. Works perfect, love it.
I also did a complete recapp of the Mainboard with best panasonics.
