I'll try this again.
I downloaded dbgl054.zip and put the contents of the zip in a folder called DosBox. When I run dbgl.bat I get the following error from DosBox:
'Unable to locate JRE meeting specification "1.5"
Sorry -- You don't seem to have the required version of the Java Runtime Environment [JRE] installed. DBGL requires at least JRE 1.5 to run.'
I downloaded and installed Java Runtime Environment 6.
I posted this problem here once but I seemed to have been abandoned.
Saying something about a 3rd party front-end. What ever that is.
If I can't get these old dos games to work I will most likely format the drive and revert back to Windows XP. Vista seems to be incompatable with much of my software.

You weren't abandoned though you're posting in the wrong forum for
the 2nd time.
Anyways, get the dosbox installer from
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net
It does NOT need any java.

I still don't know what it is you that you want to do.

And I am still waiting for a reply to my question to you about what java -version has to say.
