Depends on GPU. For those where it can be read using software and the method is known, it's reported from GPU registers. For some rather old (S)VGAs the clocks can't be read or are fixed, so if they use fixed clocks it's reported from a DB.

I restarted a 386SX and I was wondering: can your program work?
I remember that it goes on the 386 but I don't know if it works on the 386SX, this being quite similar to a 286 (ie 16 bit instead of the 32 of the 386).
If it is possible I would like to try it these days, I currently have 2MB of ram, but if necessary I can easily bring it to 4MB by adding two other 1MB 30pin RAMs.

I connected the CF-IDE adapter that I use on the old-PC, the CF card is only 8MB, but despite this it is sufficient for starting some DOS programs.
HWinfo started up, a bit slowly because the Turbo is off (I guess), but it completed the various tests and created the files (which I attach).
But I have to find the definitive configuration, for this 386SX, I was thinking of adding an ISA sound card and another 2MB of RAM, I don't think the addition of the coprocessor is necessary, but it depends on the software that I will be able to use, if they require it to speed up processing , I might add it.

I thought it didn't work because it is quite similar to a 286, but I don't know at this point I should boot up my 286 and try it out. Maybe it works there too, the PC is in signature, from 16MHz and FPU 287 from 10MHz.
Unfortunately I don't have an XT, I would like to rebuild one but I haven't found any bargains or donations like that, the prices for that kind of motherboard are pretty crazy.

Sorry, but 286 won't work. 386 is the minimum instruction set required for HWiNFO.

I restarted the 286 unfortunately after a while it turned off, I found the power supply faulty, it is of a particular type (very similar to the AT), finding a spare one is I would say impossible, perhaps the solution in case of replacement is to adapt it a modern one of similar size, but it would be better if it had the -5V and -12V outputs.
In the next few days I will try to restart a Pentium 60 (SKT4), if it starts up, I will put the files here.

Eventually after several attempts I solved, I managed to boot the Pentium 60 from HD.
Obviously I connected the usual Cf of only 8MB with Dos 4.01 and I started the HWInfo program, it gave a problem creating the files via option -r -d, it stopped, but in any case it created both files (which I attach) .
I don't know the reason for the block but the PC has no additional cards other than the SiS VGA PCI, the integrated CL GD5434 should be disabled as it is not powered (P10 connector absent in the power supply).
the only thing present is the ISA POST CARD but I don't think it can disturb the functioning.

Please attach the Debug File produced when you run HWINFO -d. Also do you know what SIO is on that board?

Ah, this is a virtual environment. Sorry, but I'm not going to support this as it's not real hardware and will behave depending on how the VMM is written. It makes no sense to run a hardware detection tool on such system other than testing how well the virtualization is implemented.

I think it is quite similar to the previous one that I have used so far, I would not want to have to restart the PCs where I had tried the ver. 6.1.4
Of course I did recreate the files I attach.
In the meantime I have added an ISA sound card and a PCI LAN to the P60, and I am using a 512MB CF to load a period OS (circa 1993-1994), so also a W3.1.
