I've put a Pentium 4 3GHz into an ATX case for this build so I can run Windows 98se and some Dos games but only for Dos games that need more power than my 486 66MHz as I found for example running Bioforge is better on this PC. I have a question please about running two or more fans from the one chassis fan header on the motherboard because this Asus P4S800-MX SE has just one header for a chassis fan and one CPU header, I know the header cant be overloaded and the amps and watts have to be within a limit but I don't know these maximums and the manual doesn't say this for the chassis header but it does say that the CPU header can be:
"The CPU fan connector support cooling fans of 350mA~740mA (8.88W max.) or a total of 1A~2.22A (26.64W max.) at +12V"
I have just a Zalman cooler for the CPU on the CPU header and the three fans Ide like to put on the chassis header are:
NF-A6x25 FLX 12V 1.44W 0.12A
NF-A4x20 FLX 12V 0.6W 0.05A
NF-R8 Redux 1800 RPM 12V 0.72W 0.06A
would the chassis header be like the CPU header and be able to have these three fans on the chassis header as I see the amps and watts are in the limits but I'm not sure the header can support 3 fans at 12V each or I'm fine with using the Redux and the NF-A4x20 together and then run the NF-A6x25 from the power supply.
