Playing Morrowind GOTY edition (which is fully up-to-date) on Windows XP with a Core 2 Quad Q9650 CPU and I'm experiencing stutter during Bink videos. The audio plays back fine, but the video appears to "lag" behind the audio at random times, only to quickly speed up to get back in sync. Any way to correct this? I assume it's something to do with the CPU but I'm not really sure where to start.

Morrowind comes with bink 1.5a, you can try 1.5y
https://github.com/vogonsorg/radgametools/tree/main/binkw32

Lots of fixes since 1.5a

You can also try the last working build of OpenMW for Windows XP:

Also try upgrading your audio drivers.

Do I simply replace the existing bink dll in the game directory with the newer one?

Completely forgot to follow up on this one. Replacing the existing Bink dll in the Morrowind directory with Bink version 1.5y completely fixed the issue. Thanks, DosFreak!
